ESU

LokSound XL decoder can handle many commercially available smoke generators, we recommend ESU smoke generators. 

Integral electronics control both the fan and the heating system of the smoke generator with a temperature sensor, the amount of smoke is independent of the track voltage and will burn if the tank is empty.

The amount of smoke and revs of the fan can be determined by the LokSound XL V4.0 decoder allowing both steam smoke plumes as well as diesel exhaust plumes. Steam exhaust plumes can be synchronized by external triggers or can be determined by the LokSound XL decoder.  It also accepts commands via the SUSI interface.

ESU - XL Decoders

51 x 40 mm and available in two different types: Screw-type terminals for installation in older models without an interface socket and a version with multi-pin connectors. This version fits into all locomotives where an older type LokSound XL decoder has been installed previously.

Supports DCC as well as Motorola®, Selectrix® and M4. Supports 14 to 128-speed steps as well as 2 and 4 digit addresses in DCC format and up to 32 functions. 

DCC Solutions

Special lighting upgrades for a range of locomotives equipped with a 21 pin locomotive decoder adds the two physical functions to the Loksound Select or Lokpilot decoders allowing separate operation of the white and red markers. This allows the locomotive to display its markers in a prototypical manner. The DCC Solutions DCC lighting upgrades come complete with full-colour instructions written specifically for each locomotive. Note that these upgrades will work with other 21 pin decoders.
