RSH hoppers were used from the North Coast & were discharged at a point in Port Waratah.
The RSH types, were a mix of steel hoppers & inlaid LCH types (not CCH) the internals were covered with steel or metal sheets to prevent spillage, these wagons were also used for Locomotive sand traffic, used in Cement & Limestone traffic.
Most of them were withdrawn from service when the NCL was totally banned from the use of 4 wheel wagons. The Rutile hoppers were a common site on the trains that were part of short steam burst in 1969 on the BMD to Taree.
Eureka Models have produced this wagon in both rutile livery and fertilizer livery in convenient 4pk wagons.
