NSWGR 40 Class Dress Up Kit-O

Model Railroad Craftsman 40 Kit Circa 1960 will  ‘dress-up’ the O scale Atlas Trainman two-rail RSD4/5 creating a reasonably accurate NSWGR 40 class. The kit includes side frames with equal and un-equal wheel spacing as two separate options, etched brass walkways, urethane pilots and numerous detail parts in brass investment, pewter and urethane.
Atlas Trainman RSD 4/5 Loco is NOT included with these kits - these are sourced from the USA. They supply the hood, drive and chassis that are required for this kit to be completed

Option A - Reuses factory bogie as supplied but features a non-prototype unequal bogie. These new sideframe have all the features of a 40 Class bogie but are manufactured to match the original RSD 4/5 unequal sideframes

Option B - New equal side frames that are scale models of the 40 Class bogies but require the centre wheel to be a dummy, i.e. non-rotating. Recommend this for experienced modellers as modifications to the drive are required.
