  1. DCC Mono Frog Juicer

This board is an automatic polarity reverser for a single frog.  Setup is simple, connect two wires to the DCC bus and one wire to a frog.  The frog should be fully isolated.  When a train crosses the turnout and the frog is the wrong polarity, the frog juicer will reverse the polarity so quickly that the train and the rest of the DCC system will never notice.  Should not be used with boosters over 5 Amps.  See the Dual Frog Juicer for 10 Amp boosters.

  2. Octopus III

Board has 8 positions for driving servos between two positions and 8 inputs for fascia controllers or toggle switches.

Octopus III uses the remote board (below) to align the servos and has automated endpoint adjustment as well as full manual control.

Ideal for use with TAM miniature servos and the servo mounting kit Power with 5-24V DC (do not use AC).

Octopus III has a built-in switching power supply for high efficiency and greater range.

    Board is 2.5" x 1.9"

  3. Singlet Decoder with servo

Includes PC board with control, programming buttons, A 12" servo extension, a miniature servo, mounting screw and instructions.  For the price of a well-known slow switch machine, you also get a DCC accessory decoder and LED and control buttons. (Servo may be a different colour than shown.)

Note: The current demand from the decoders are rated at 0.1 amp demand each. On a DCC layout, the addition of an additional booster for a large number will require the additional booster. The NCE DB5 will provide 5 amps of power.

  4. Micro Singlet Servo Decoder

The singlet has a baby brother, the Micro Singlet. It is a simple servo decoder designed to drive turnouts and only turnouts. It solves the problem of servo buzzing by turning the servo off at the end of the throw. Special circuitry and programming has been built in to accomplish this without a large jerk at restart.

Micro Singlet - designed exclusively to control turnouts with DCC or a pushbutton. Simpler than the classic Singlet it is designed only for turnouts.

Designed exclusively for switching turnouts with a servo

No buzzing! - servo turns off at end of throw
Simpler setup - center the servo and mount - no alignment needed
Switch with DCC or the included fascia controller
Teach the DCC address with a jumper - no CVs to program

  5. Miniature Servo Motor (SG90)

Sub-miniature 9g servo.  These have plenty of power for hinged point turnouts and smaller rail (code 55 and smaller) solid point turnouts - when used with the servo mounting kit (SMK002 below) then it can handle higher loads, up to code 100 non-hinged rail.  If the point rails are hinged then the rail size is not an issue - it has been used up to G scale. Our servo brackets (see below) are custom made to fit these servos. Size 1.25" wide (including mounting tabs) x 0.5" deep x 1.125" tall.  Servo lead about 7".  The label on the servo and the lead colors may vary between batches.  Works with all of our boards.

Note: The current demand from the decoders are 0.1 amps. On a DCC layout the addition of a additional booster for a large number will require the additional booster.

  6. This decoder can be used to drive LEDs in a variety of lighting applications.  It can be used to drive 3-LED signal heads as it is set up for JMRI (type Double Output).  Can also be used to light a building or a car.  with the flicker function it can imitate a flickering light bulb, a welding arc or a campfire.  Although the outputs are marked R Y G for ease of wiring to a signal head, any color LED can be used.  In addition there is a mode for driving a 2-lead bi-color LED.
The decoder uses 2 consecutive DCC addresses - one controls the R output and the other controls the G output.  If both are on then the Y output is lit.

  7. In-Line Servo Reverser

You can often reverse your servo throw direction by turning it around or reversing the servo linkage. Sometimes there just isn't room under a turnout to do this.  You can't reverse the servo direction by swapping wires since servos work by varying the pulse width and reversing the wires will just disconnect off the servo.  In cases where you want to reverse the servo rotation direction, this servo reverser comes in handy.  If you put this in line with the servo it will swap the two ends about the center.  [It works by mirroring the pulse around 1.5 ms which is the center on a servo.  I.e. if a 2 ms pulse is input, the reverser will output 1 ms and if a 1 ms pulse is input it will output a 2ms pulse.]

  8. 12" Y-cord

Y cables are used to attach two servos to one output.  Both servos will move in the same manner at the same time.  Could be used, for example, to control a crossover or a passing siding.  Does not affect the servo power.  The Y can can also be used with the fascia controllers for the Quad-Pic to provide two control points for one switch.  Use one for a pair of servos and one for a controller at the same time and you can set up a passing siding with control points at both ends!

  9. Fascia Controller Bicolor for SwitchWright/Quad/QuadLN/Octopus II/Octopus III

This controller is identical to the above controller except that it has two Red/Green Bicolor LEDs instead of the 2 yellow LEDs.  Each LED alternates between red and green so both LEDs are lit whereas in the regular yellow LED controller one LED is on at a time.  The LED colors in photo are a bit washed out due to the limits of photography. Other than the LEDS it is identical to the single-color Fascia Controller.

  10. Fascia Controller Mount

Made of precision 1/8" thick laser-cut acrylic, these mounts can be used to neatly mount your fascia controllers. Simply use a 1-3/8" hole saw to place on your fascia. The four included screws hold it securely in place and the recess keeps the button safely out of the way of bellies. The dark plastic makes the LEDs stand out. Comes as a kit that includes the 2 pieces and 4 screws. The pieces can be easily glued together with solvent designed for acrylics as MEK and other styrene glues will NOT work. Just put the pieces together and flow a small amount of solvent on with a brush. Can be spray-painted a different color or used as is.

    Size 1.5" x 1.5" x 1/4" deep (without parts mounted)

  11. TurnOn Module - Soft Start Circuit For Large Inrush Currents of Sound Decoders and Stay Alive Decoders

If you have a lot of sound decoders and decoders with stay alive circuits on the track, they can confuse the booster when it starts up in to thinking there is a short because of the sudden current draw of all the capacitors. This circuit prevents that problem by putting a small resistance in to the circuit to slow the current rush and once the voltage gets up a 10 Amp relay bypasses the resistor so that there is a straight connection to the booster. Connect the TurnOn directly after the booster and before any other components. The resistor is 0.5 Ohms 20Watt.

Relay is 10 Amps and turns on at about 10Volts on the track.  Diodes prevent the startup pulse of the relay from getting on to the DCC bus.

Will also work with other brands of boosters and command stations.

  12. Reduces or eliminates voltage spikes on long runs of DCC bus wire, this is especially important on any DCC track bus wire 40 feet [12 meters] or longer.
Protects decoders from damaging inductive voltage spikes while help preveting temporary loss of control or runaway problems by preserving DCC waveform accuracy.

WHAT ARE THE SIGNS YOU MAY NEED A RC FILTER ON THE TRACK BUS?

    1) Loss of train control
    2) Runaway engines (Take off) :
    3) Loss of decoder programming.
    4) Decoders blowing up.
Consider installing a snubber at the end of each cab bus
